I’m James Sarpy, owner of Caring Transitions of New Orleans Central, and a lifelong resident of this incredible city. With a background in franchising, property management, and personal caregiving, I understand just how complex and emotional life transitions can be, especially for seniors and their families. My goal with Caring Transitions is to provide trusted, hands-on support to those navigating downsizing, estate cleanouts, relocations, and more.

Before launching this business, I spent years running a catering franchise and managing rental properties throughout New Orleans. Much of that work involved supporting senior clients and learning how overwhelming transition-related tasks can become without guidance. I also experienced this firsthand when my siblings and I had to move my father multiple times in his later years. Those personal and professional experiences sparked something for me: a desire to help others plan ahead and face these changes with confidence rather than crisis.

This is more than a job for me; it’s a continuation of everything I’ve done in my life so far. Whether I’m helping a family prepare for a major move or simply clearing out a space filled with decades of memories, I treat each project with care, respect, and professionalism. I look forward to becoming a trusted resource for families in New Orleans and the surrounding communities, and to building a team that reflects the same commitment to service.
